Chun-Chih Chen is a cinematographer from Taiwan, currently pursuing his MFA in cinematography at the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles.

 

Interested in stories exploring memory, nostalgia, and human connections. Chen’s artistic style focuses on conveying emotions through lighting and forging empathy with characters through the visual storytelling of the camera. He is passionate about exploring visual expressions in different mediums, across narrative, documentary, music video, and experimental film.

 

In 2024, he served as the cinematographer for the short film BOY IN THE SECRET FOREST, which screened at film festivals across Asia, Europe, and beyond, including Taipei Film Festival, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, and Seoul International Children's Film Festival.
